If this is an emergency, stop reading and get medical help
Call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not use Dosely to assess an emergency.
Dosely is not a medical device
Dosely is a personal record-keeping tool. It has not been reviewed, cleared or approved by any medicines or medical device regulator, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.
Dosely does not give medical advice
Nothing in the app is medical advice. Specifically, Dosely does not:
- Recommend a medication, a dose, or a titration schedule
- Tell you when to increase, decrease, skip, delay or stop a dose
- Tell you where you should inject
- Diagnose a side effect, a condition, or a complication
- Predict your weight, your HbA1c, or how you will respond
Every decision about your medication belongs to you and the clinician who prescribed it.
Estimated medication level is an estimate
The concentration curve is calculated from two things: the doses you logged, and the published half-life of the medication you selected. It is arithmetic, not biology.
It does not measure the medication in your body. It cannot account for your individual metabolism, kidney or liver function, other medications, illness, injection technique, or absorption differences. Two people logging identical doses will see identical curves and may feel entirely different. Do not use the curve to decide when to inject.
Patterns describe your history, not your future
When Dosely shows something like "you have most often logged cravings on Thursdays", that is a summary of entries you made. It is not a forecast, and it is not a clinical finding. Small numbers of entries can produce patterns that mean nothing at all.
Injection site suggestions come from your own log
Dosely suggests the area you have gone longest without using, based only on your logged history. This is a memory aid to help you rotate. It is not clinical guidance on injection technique, and it cannot see your skin. Follow the instructions from your prescriber and the medication's patient information leaflet.
Reminders can fail
Notifications depend on your device, its operating system, battery settings and network. They can be delayed or missed. Do not rely on Dosely as your only prompt to take a dose.
When to seek urgent medical care
Contact a healthcare professional or emergency services immediately if you experience any of the following while taking a GLP-1 medication. This list is educational and is not exhaustive.
- Severe or persistent abdominal pain, particularly pain radiating to your back — a possible sign of pancreatitis
- Persistent vomiting, or an inability to keep fluids down
- Signs of gallbladder problems — pain in the upper right abdomen, fever, yellowing of the skin or eyes
- Signs of a severe allergic reaction — swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing, severe rash
- Signs of severe dehydration or a significant change in urination
- Symptoms of very low blood sugar, particularly if you also take insulin or a sulfonylurea
- A lump or swelling in your neck, hoarseness, or difficulty swallowing
Dosely does not monitor for these and cannot detect them. Logging a symptom in the app is not a substitute for seeking care.
Not a substitute for your prescriber
Dosely is intended for people already under the care of a licensed healthcare professional for a prescribed medication. It is not a route to obtain medication, a prescription, or a consultation, and it does not replace any part of your care.
